Favourite Foods

Comment with your own!

1. Bread (I was destined to be fat).

2. Cake.

3. Oreos.

4. Hokkien mee (momma makes best, everyone else can gtfo).

5. Vietnamese summer rolls (I have them on my birthday every year!).

6. Fruit (in this order: grapes, stone fruit, kiwi, mangoes, cherries, honeydew etc. etc.).

7. Avocado (seriously, it makes EVERYTHING taste betters. Desserts, savouries, even beverages, probably even poo).

8. Oatmeal.

9. Ice cream.

10. Roti parata.

This list was surprisingly really difficult to write. I kept it to simple ingredients (or tried to) so the combinations are endless. Roti parata sandwich: roti + avocado + hokkien mee in bread. Summer oatmeal: oatmeal + ice cream + fruit + oreos. Oreo cake: oreo + cake.

1. Tofu (don't hate)

2. Broccoli (a vegetable, however it deserves a special mention)

3. Nuts (macadamia, cashew, hazelnut, pine, pistacio, brazil, etc) (my snack of choice, great in salads, stirfrys - EVERYTHING!)

4. Vegetables (pumpkin, sweet potato, spinach, corn, snowpeas, green beans, etc) (feel like I'm cheating with this one cos it includes many of my favourite things)

5. Ice cream (well this is obvious - most favourite is cookies and cream connoiseur)

6. Fruit (avocado, strawberries, other berries, apple, mango, cherries, grapes, etc in order)

7. Jasmine rice

8. Oatmeal/muesli

9. Chewy cookies (YUM.)

10. Hot Sambal... or curry (or spicy food in general)

Pretty sure you can guess who this list belongs to.

1. Vegetables (especially salad stuffs. Pumpkin, zucchini, celery, potato, sweet potato, cauliflower, corn - oh whatever, I like them all)

2. Fruit - bananas, bananas, and bananas. then mangoes and strawberries and cherries. then rockmelon. then pears and plums. nectarines if they're not sour. HOLY CRAP I FORGOT TOMATOES. everything else can go to hell.

3. Bread bread bread bread bread. Not sweet bread like raisin toast or that fruity crap. Savoury toast like wholemeal and multigrain. You should try Burgen bread. Bit expensive, like $5 a loaf at woolies but so worth it.

4. Rice. I'm asian, nuff said.

5. Noodles. See 4.

6. Pasta. NOM.

7. Philadelphia cream cheese. I would inhale this stuff if it wouldn't make me fat. You know what you should try? Put philly cheese on a corn cob instead of spreading butter. I swear by it, it's beautiful.

8. Indian chicken curry.

9. CHEESE. I totally forgot. You name it, I eat it. Except blue vein. Bocconcini is the best.

10. Sushi. *drool*

i find no. 1 hard to believe because 5 months ago, $20 says you would have replied ICE CREAM wihout thinking about it. i love nuts too.... but so cal heavy. still love them. also i can't believe cake didn't feature on your list. do u think this list would be different when you weren't a vego?

anon 2:

tempted to say either caity or nadia. the salad thing is bugging me because i know caity eats salads (I THINK?) but i've never heard nadia say she loves salads... but she eats hewalthy. oh hold up, it has to be nadia because she listed chicken curry and caity is a vegetarian lol ded. the bread thing should have given it away because u don't like sweets or chocolate n.

I thought you would comment on my ranking of ice cream. Although I would probably have said that it was no 1, even then, if I'd given any real thought to it (like what foods I'd most like to eat every day) it wouldn't really be. I was actually gonna rank it lower tbh. (and I was also gonna put vegies first, but I thought you'd disown me) I LOVE nuts. I don't care how fattening/cal heavy they are (to justify eating them I'm like 'I'm a vegetarian so I need protein' lol) I can appreciate a good piece of cake, but as I've told you before, I'm a tough critic when it comes to cake. And the list may have been a bit different but probably not much...
Hope you enjoyed my essay.

Also, I agree Burgen bread is very nice. (and filling too, so even though the loaf is small it's satisfying)
