This post is about how good I've been feeling over the last few days. We post and hear too much about sad periods in people's lives. We should write more about how happy we are:
1. I've been sleeping better. I was always a great sleeper up until a few months ago. I could go to bed and be asleep with 15 minutes. I could sleep through anything. But then, I started taking one to two hours to go to sleep and it was restless and interrupted. I have found that not listening through headphones and reading or watching TV quietly before I go to sleep is conducive to satisfying rest.
2. I have been "exercising" (read: 30 minute brisk walk which is still okay) lately and it makes me feel better.
3. I've been writing nearly everyday and recently surpassed 50 000 words on the story I've been working on which is the third longest thing I have ever written (the longest I have written was that debating story I did, lol. Nearly 130 000 words of basically a stan letter for a bunch of people I never talked to).
4. I have been reading The Hunger Games (well, Catching Fire and Mockingjay) which is light, pleasant reading. To be honest, it reads a lot like Twilight. Different storyline but I find the writing style is in a similar vein (maybe less cliches and whimsical passages about fabulous, stone hard skin as a repressed simile for other stone hard things...).
5. I've been eating reasonably well but I can do better and it's always good to want (and act on) improvement.
