Shoes with laces. Good or bad?
Why do we need laces? Why can't we have shoes with no laces? Not only does it save material (laces), it's more convenient. When I get up at 7am, gotta have my bowl, gotta have cereal, do I really have time/energy to do up my shoe laces?
I know I've posed a serious philosophical question here but please get back to me with your thoughts.

But I do agree, tis a deep philosophical question, indeed. I think laces are often unecessary...in fact, my shoes with laces are permanently tied and I just slip them on and off, like a child.

I don't wear shoes that have laces anymore for that very reason. Slip 'em on and you're good to go down to the bus stop.

Also, no one needs to have their hands in such close proximity to their feet/dirty shoes for that long.
